Teams struggle with a fast moving ball. Just look at how Liverpool and Bayern have been putting teams to the sword. Get rid of the traditional number 10s and just make sure you have a bunch of guys who have the ability to pass well and beat a guy. You effectively end up with distributed playmaking
Serie A 20/21
ADL making an example of Milik by omitting him from Napoli's Serie A and Europa League squads.
Milik had scuppered and rejected all outgoing moves this summer so that he can move for a free next summer and earn that fat signing bonus.
What? That's sheer balls. Isn't he still quite an important player for them?

Not anymore.
Osihmen has looked extremely impressive in the first couple of matches and the perfect foil for their three diminutive attackers (Insigne, Mertens and Lozano).

He's gonna be free to move as soon as he appeals to the league commission. This has precedent with Goran Pandev.
I wouldn't mind picking him up as a free agent for a year or two, depending on what his wage demands are.
What is ADL?

The Napoli owner. Character. Aurelio de Laurentis.
Ah. Weird to abbreviate him.
Zlatan dominated the Milano derby yesterday and scored both goals as Milan won 2-1:
I can't believe that he has turned this bunch of crap players into the currently best team in Serie A. They were worse than us last season before he came back.
He did. Excellent stuff from him.
If you’re near television, tune into last fifteen minutes of Sassuolo - Bologna. As I type this, Sassuolo have made it 4-3 and can now go second in the league if they hold on. They are attacking ferociously. Up and down constantly.
I’d like folks to watch Sassuolo and kill this idea that we need to buy £100m of players to play delicious attacking football. 3 games in a row with 4 goals scored.
So many exciting players on this team. Locatelli, Caputo and especially Berardi have all been good today. His various deliveries in motion from wide into Caputo have been superb. He’s such a smart forward.
Speaking of Caputo and Berardi:
Stats were from before the game today where they each got another goal and assist.
They’ve been exceptional. You watch Berardi and really wish that’s how Pépé played for us. This guy is direct, confident on the ball. He’s a leftie playing mostly on the right. So he also has to cut In and and do those in-swinging crosses often, but he delivers them perfectly to a range of areas. It helps that the team floods the box so he has more than Caputo to aim to. But he’s definitely a real double threat on the wing: with the ability to beat a man and deliver crosses.
He’s also able to go deeper than Pépé because he has a right foot. Notice yesterday Pépé was easily defended charging at the goal because he dribbled in with the ball on his left, showing the ball to the defender who picked it off easily.
I think we have to be patient with Pepe. We bought him on installments so he is probably paying us back with performances in installments.
If a) he hasn't improved at the end of the season and b) Uefa still has an FFP holiday, we should strongly consider cutting our losses. I remain hopeful, but we we must keep options open.
By the way, the Serie A season is shaping up nicely. We know about Inter, Juventus, Atalanta and Lazio.
But we have Sassuolo who have a superb team that creates end-to-end excitement.
Napoli - Gattuso is doing a brilliant job there. He is playing a very attacking line-up with Osimhem who looks a good buy, Lozano, Politano and Mertens. They really ripped Atalanta to shreds on weekend, attacking with speed and flexibility.
Milan - midfield is shaping up nicely and Ibrahimovic has a real claim for 3rd best player of the past decade.

Lazio have looked very off color so far this season. They were outplayed by Sampdoria this weekend and it was the same story against Atalanta couple of weeks back.
I think playing week-in week-out for a couple of seasons with the same core group of players who start every game (Immobile, Alberto, SMS etc) is taking its toll.
More worryingly for Inzaghi, their recruitment, even with the Champions league cash boost, has been sub-par this summer and might come to haunt them.
Ibra is incredible. The pace is outran the entire Inter was ridiculous at this age.

He's out of control. One has to wonder though what crack cocaine Conte is on. He has some issue with Skriniar. So in the derby he has bloody Kolarov trying to stop the Lion of Milan

To be fair to Conte this time, both Skriniar and Bastoni were in self isolation due to Covid.
