Fucking hell Aouar and Partey would make this the best summer ever. If we have to weaken the backup RB position to make it happen then fine by me, although as Clrnc says it'll be sad since Bellerin is a proper Arsenal man.

£25+5 is a decent price for Hector. At his peak I would have said £50m and I still wouldn’t have sold him, but it’s been a long time since we’ve seen anything like that.

Hopefully we can push that up to £30+5m but I wouldn’t want to drag it on for a sake of a couple of million and potentially lose out on targets.

Agree but it could be 25m at favourable payment terms vs 40m with add ons over 5 years.

Agree, Bellerin at his peak was an exciting player but how long has it been since those peaks? I'm fine if he stays but there are red flags and, like you said, I'd swap almost anyone in our squad for both Aouar and Partey to happen.

Shame if we let Bellerin go. He’s the best in a back four, AMN doesn’t give me the confidence there.

Also, he is our longest serving player in terms of games played and always steps up in the big games as we saw in the FA Cup final.

Would be sad to see him go as we’ve watched him make his debut v Dortmund away in 2014 and he’s had a good career all things considered - played in all our FA cup wins since 2015.

He’s an Arsenal man and I think sometimes ppl forget that.

There's a serious dearth of experienced right backs, which is why PSG would even countenance such a move

It is a great price. Bellerin is a decent player, returning from an ACL injury and has clearly not shown any progress since his initial promise (arguably regressed especially physically). We will not get a better deal than that. It’s the right time to sell especially if it’s gonna help in funding deals for Partey and Aouar.

PSG won’t be fleeced just because they’re loaded. The market is the market at the end of the day.

£25m + £5m is a no for me, needs to be something like £35m + £5m for me. Chilwell went for £50m, Hakiki for over £40m I think. Good fullbacks aren't cheap, Bellerin has some question marks due to him not really being fully over his injury but he's a good player.

Chilwell is English so deduct at least 25% to get to his normal transfer value.

Hakimi is a lot younger and is much better and move versatile than the current version of Hector. In fact £40m Inter paid for Hakimi makes £30m for Hector seem like a very good fee.

Lots of reports on Bellerin now, seems like it's really happening. If their first bid was indeed £25m, maybe we could push it to 30.

Similar to AMN. Id rather we didnt sell. Would get rid of a number of players before him, but it is not always that easy.. Needs to be in 30m-40m range imo though

The way Ornstein is reporting it we seem to want to keep Bellers but have told PSG he's available for the right price. I imagine that price is not just a difference of 4-5 million in that case, but could be wrong.

It really grates me that PSG of all clubs are trying to short-change us.

It's not the exact same thing, but Bellerin has homegrown status too. Although it's only really useful if we sell him within the league, and I don't reckon anyone want to do that.

Another factor is that Bellerin already wanted to leave back during Wenger's last season and only stayed because we refused to sell, and then the knee injury happened. I don't think there's any question that he wants to go if a top tier club comes for him. That probably makes our bargaining position a little weaker too.

Saw a few vague tweets earlier in the summer that he was open to leaving, PSG wouldn't be making any bids without having the player on board. PSG also know we need to sell and everyone seems to know who we are after so will probably try to knock us down in price.

I'd argue Bellerin is more accomplished than either of those two. Hakimi is a beast in attack but defensively needs to improve.
