If it's an option to buy, then at the end of the season Fiorentina can pay 18m for him or can choose not to. Whereas if it's obligation to buy, then Fiorentina would have to pay 18m at the end of the season.

It should be either obligation to buy or just a loan fee with no option to buy like we had with Ceballos.

Youre right, got confused by some previous cases. Think the player can reject the move, that's about it.

Hopefully he has an excellent season and gains some value. Would be nice to have something work in our favour for a change.

He’s not a long term option for us but hopefully he can get some of that English halo and sell for £15-25m soon. We got him for £2m, so that would be decent return.

Probably means Chambers will be the one to be sold to raise funds.

Still think Holding has a future here, big injury has slowed down his progress and a year of regular football can get him back on track.

Me too but it's either him or Chambers that has any place here and I would prefer Chambers simply because of his Versatility and intelligence

Luiz probably. Only reason he jumped across town to join us to begin with was to get guaranteed playing time. Can't imagine him staying if we get Gabriel, and I also can't imagine Gabriel and Saliba not playing regularly. It might be an imperfect pairing in the beginning but it's not like our defence was flawless last season either way. We also just signed Mari on a longterm contract. He'll probably replace Luiz in the squad.

He also said AMN would be sold and Gabriel has signed.

Don’t think both Saliba and Gabriel will be starters immediately so could see Luiz getting sold in Jan. Don't think he'll move this summer though.

I doubt we're getting anything for him in January though. If we do it'll be a token fee. He'll have six months left at that point and will be free to negotiate with ehoever he wants. If we're letting him go with some kind of profit in mind it'll all be gone by then.

Pretty confident Luiz won't leave. We would probably even offer him an extension all things considered. Arteta wants him to mentor the kids and his best friend just joined us. Martinelli, Tierney etc all in full praise for him as a senior player.

Yeah I don't think he's going anywhere. Players love him, Martinelli being the latest to pick him out for special praise. Arteta has been very cautious with the Saliba praise so I think it'll be a while until he's first choice in a back four. I think Luiz will be starting for the majority of the season.

Luiz is definitely staying. Holding and chambers will be the ones moving on in some form
