They’ve taken government loans so they can only spend a % of what they bring in. Also with these things both clubs will want to drag it out to get the best deal they can.

Assuming people would prefer a sale for Holding but think a loan option would actually be quite beneficial for Arsenal. Even if management did ultimately want to sell him. Holding is easily 20 million plus CB for me.

Also Arteta has a lot more options than a Rob Holding in the market, whereas most clubs looking at a Holding wouldn't have too many other better options. It's also why clubs like Bournemouth / Everton etc pay extortionate fees as they build up their profile using these youngish english players. £20m + sounds about right considering his age.

I don't think an injury prone, out of form 25yr old centre back who has only ever managed a maximum of 9 PL starts in a season is as valueable as you guys seem to think.

Agree with Kingsland, we might be better off loaning Holding and hope he plays enough and does well enough to potentially put his value up.

Yeah, he's a good footballer but there's no value in him at the moment. A loan for Holding is the smart move, not selling him for pocket money. Let someone else handle his wages and development for a season. Let Leeds have him with a buyout clause even.

There guys were actually young though, not 25. More importantly, they were hyped up. By the same token if we were to sell Nelson or Willock I'd want £20m+ easily.

Really infuriating how Liverpool sold those shitehouses for the amount they did. Everyone knew Bournemouth we’re getting mugged, apart from Bournemouth apparently.

Holding should be £15-20mil in this market.

Bearing in mind that £25 million can’t buy Ben White, and Burnley would be asking for £40mil plus for Mee or Tarkowski, and Ake went for £41million

Ibe maybe who had two half decent performances. Solanke has always looked like dogshit

25 isn't old for a defender either, and it's not like only young English players go for those fees. Maguire was 26 when United paid a world record fee for him and he's probably worse than Holding.

Solanke was prolific at youth levels and he had a lot of hype around him when he joined Liverpool (including an England cap).

Maybe someone will be stupid enough/desperate enough to pay big money for him, but it doesn't mean that should be the expectation, certainly not at the lowest point of his Arsenal career in a COVID-19 window.

Dimarzio reporting that fiorentina is pushing for torreira. Wonder how much they'd stump up. Hard to imagine any italian side other than juve/inter stumping up 25m+ for anyone

I think we'd settle for an offer around £15m.

Our reputation has taken a massive hit these past few years and it has done the valuation of our fringe players no favours at all.
