In fairness the knee-jerking was when people were talking up Potter at the start of last season. He finished just above relegation last season and is in the same spot now. He's not a manager anyone should want at Arsenal.

I've not been that impressed by Brighton either, but in fairness they have a Championship squad.

Yeah he's doing better than Arteta comparatively this season given their squads. Still I'd be devastated if we made Potter the manager.

Folks have still been talking about Potter this season. We have to stop taking chances.

We might be getting to a point though where serious individuals might look at us and say “no thanks!” Pochettino is being mentioned in relation to Real Madrid. They can spend £130m on a useless player like Hazard. Or United who are in a top 4 race. RB Leipzig might even push him closer to that job this week. What’s our pitch to him?

Same goes for players. How do you sell a player on Arsenal in January beyond money? We aren't going to be a CL team this or next season, maybe not even a European team. We don't have good football to attract anyone, we don't have a manager with a reputation. What do we have apart from "here's a bag of money come play in our lovely big empty stadium".

Same, not sold by him. Doubt he'd do better than Arteta results wise, maybe better football yes.

But then again, no one is seriously wanting him as manager here anyway.

Yeah. Saw that. It's crazy to think we paid £35m for this guy, and then someone thought it would be even better if we extended him to 2023. This decision-making handicaps us before we even get on the field.
