He was balling at a very high level those two years. But like I said, I think he’s held back by being on insanely poorly built teams with all kinds of garbage in every direction. Your guys like Campbell always had a Keown or Toure and Lauren/Cole flanking.

Kos was arguably our best CB since Campbell (who was the best since Adams).

Definitely is. Not sure how people can argue that. First choice for almost a decade and constantly mentioned by attackers as the hardest defender to play against.

Its just a shame his brain fart moments always happen in important games.

I think we should have kept toure and get rid off gallas when they had that rift.

Both toure and galls were finished we should have shifted both. Wenger wasn't ruthless enough with them.

We can have Aubameyang or Pépé as an outlet. But this is the line-up to face Spurs. Royal Rumble style

Our fans are tracking planes again. The guy is in London, now.

The only absloutely consistent defender past 2005 we've had is Sagna.

Agree with this, looking back Sagna was the only one I trusted to get on with things and he hardly ever put a foot wrong. Although I wonder if he'd be as highly regarded today when fullbacks are expected to contribute so much to the attacking side of things.

Koscielny was our best CB post Campbell but looking at the contenders it doesn't say much, I could make an argument that Per's leadership is what made the backline work as a unit.

Sagna was limited in attack but was as solid defensively as any full back I've seen in England. Had the occasional wonder cross in him too

Koscielny was definitely the best centre back of the last decade but he never learned to lead a backline. Shame the moron only learned to become vocal when it was to organise a way out.
