Couple of Netflick streaming action B-movies.

LINE OF DUTY, don't care who directed, stars Aaron Eckhart. Actually moderately interesting because it's a stopwatch thriller that incorporates a particular (stupid) view of how Internet media works.

MILE 22, nearly unwatchable garbage despite the presence of Iko Uwais, couldn't keep looking at it. Malkovich dialling it in like a homeless man called in off a park bench.

I rewatched that film the other month (because, you know) and jesus christ none of it aged well, except for Kate Winslet.

It reminded me more of NERVE (which was a better film about the Internet though). Imagine something like a truly mediocre mixture of NERVE and the "____ HAS FALLEN" series.

😆 It cracked 50% on Rotten Tomatoes which is more than MILE 22 received from the critics (or deserves)!

Don't do it Klaus, Burnsy has lost the plot here. Starting watching that "movie" the other weekend and we turned it off after about 30 minutes. It's truly woeful.

Ugh, Line of Duty was terrible. That's the last time I'm taking recommendations from Daz and Burnsy.

Seriously though, it was alright, in a mediocre tv movie kind of way. I can see what Burns was saying about the internet media sleuthing trope. It's interesting from a sociologic perspective if nothing else. There will probably be studies conducted in the future on people who create these kind of films. The generational divide between the ones who make them and the ones they're about is as huge as it was when they tried to make films about hackers in the early 90s.
