I didn't compare Glasner to Frank in their managerial abilitiy
I said Frank was the best realistic option available
There is a very logical reason Spurs or any other club in their position would want to execute quickly as possible because they need to prepare for the pre-season the manager wants and target the profile of players that fit his system. For the latter aspect it is already a very short runway, given clubs prepare for the summer window 5-6 months in advance. A club in Spur's situation cannot afford to waste time at all in trying to negotiate for manager's that their current club doesn't want to let go off.
Barring a miracle, I don't really expect any manager that Spurs hires right now to "pull up any trees" for next season anway considering their squad is barely equipped for both the PL/CL rigour, and the lack of time the new manager would get to implement his system and sign players he wants.
