Sicario2 Good lists like this are only of importance to fans who can't take the banter or think that just winning any trophy is better than actual progress. Man Utd won the FA cup last year and they 16th in the league. Lets see where Spurs are this time next year.

We have made great progress but this season clearly for a variety of reasons (bad transfer window, injuries and refs fucking us over) we've had a bit of a set back this season. Now we need to regroup, address our issues in the transfer window and go again next season. Don't need to worry about other clubs, we are one of the best positioned teams in the country to go on and win major trophies and we need to get behind the club.

Big Willie not really the same is it. Europa league is the 2nd most important European tournament and we could never win it when we played in it. Only 5 out of the last 15 winners have been CL teams who have dropped down.

Sicario2 That's fine if you want to live your life like that, can't always obsess about trophies. We will win something, I believe and don't care how many seasons it takes but we will win. Appreciate what you have, we have one of the best sides in Europe and are on the brink of something. A few years ago we were on the brink of becoming an irrelevant club.

I'm sitting here envious of clubs like Liverpool and PSG/Inter, I won't bring myself to be envious of Spurs & Newcastle

You don’t get unlimited time to win trophies, managers leave, big players leave, there will be injuries (as we saw this season) and other teams get stronger. I say this summer is the biggest in our history and the next 12 months is close to the end of our window to win anything major.

After that players will leave and we would have missed our chance.

But if all of that happens to us, this will be good. Because then we can compete in easie, lesser tournaments where trophies are easier to come by. Any (true) fan would do the math and not want to be in a tournament where you have to be the best in the world to win a trophy.

Sicario2 I don't disagree with you, the window is closing which is why as a club we need laser like focus this window to be as strong as possible for next season. I'm not saying we should give up and just accept it but getting to the top takes years and we are on that path, we just need to take those final steps now.
