Imagine how angry some would be if we signed Bellingham. They want a great midfielder not just a decent talent like him.

Surprised to see the clamour for Toney. He’s not bad in fairness but I would’ve thought his nationality would be a massive downside.

Gnabry would be brilliant but we would need CL at a minimum to make it happen and I don't think we are within touching distance of that at the moment.

Hopefully Newcastle go down this season - might make any hypothetical pursuit of ASM a little easier.

Lot of noise in Italy that Juve has to sell to manage their books and Dejan Kulusevski is considered as the most expendable player who they can make a nice profit on.

Any takers ?

Kulusevski is going to be one of those elite among elite players, I just know it from watching him. Absolute tour de force of a footballer. He's Saka-level, which to me means he's a clear cut above guys like Sancho, Greenwood, Grealish, etc. If you have a snowball's chance in hell of signing him you go for it. He could end up being one of the defining players of this decade.

Can he play on the left of a front 3, Klaus? If he can only play on the right and cut in, aren't he and Saka competing for a place or would you then move Saka across to the left?

I think he can play on most positions except in goal, basically. He's such a joy to watch because he's a proper midfield player the way they used to make them: he's a playmaker when he has the ball, he works like a dog when he doesn't, touch is impeccable, vision is top-notch. When you put him on the pitch good things will happen. He has that in common with Saka.

He's impressed every time I've seen him including the Euros in the summer. Thought he was a midfielder? He could well stagnate/plateau down the line kind of like Kovacic (in my opinion) and best way to avoid that is minutes. Should be playing more.

Imagine if we had a striker that could offer what Aubameyang and Lacazette give the team when played together? Basically, Haaland up front... but this is the wishlist not an alternate reality, so maybe Isaak or Vlahovic? Neither are the goalscorer that Aubameyang is, and I doubt they ever will be, but they give you enough of that, whilst also being able to work the flanks, occupy CBs, link with runners, put themselves about etc.

I love Aubameyang, but it could really take the team up a level next season.

Should have signed Isak the season we gave Auba that new contract. We would be in such a great place right now had we done that - the timing was perfect.

I'm just gonna say this: Isak is a wonderful talent, but if he ever turns out anywhere near as good as Aubameyang he'll have had a world class career. At the moment he's exactly half as good, and that's only because Aubameyang looks like he has slowed down a little.

You guys seriously underrate how good Auba is, and you similarly overrate Laca, and always have, just like Arteta. He's a carthorse that we now insist on putting behind the cart.
