madnesses under arteta have proven to be a double edged sword this far. it does feel like we're set up to get absolutely rinsed by city and make some panicked moves in the last days of the window

Funnily yesterday while watching the disrupted match I was thinking the same. He has come of age and will be much cheaper than Vlahovic who hasn't been that proven yet.

Great shot, can hold up ball and attacks crosses. Will be great for us.

I would not be surprised if Potter rejects us.

He will have much bigger clubs interested if he does well at Brighton this season.

I don't imagine he'll reject us for that reason, but he might turn us down if we come for him in the middle of the season. I suspect the bloke has too much character to leave Brighton hanging if it means that they risk relegation.

Not if we move fast and sack after a big loss against City this weekend. Like I said though our board will never hire someone like Potter. They will probably hire Gattuso

Or they'll dig up some dinosaur that is well past it. I suspect our next manager is going to be our equivalent of Liverpool appointing Dalglish. It'll be someone the owners think will win the fans over.

Gattuso is massively underrated for some reason. He's done well at Milan with a shit squad and even better at Napoli, 77 points is enough for CL in 99 out of 100 seasons. I'd be delighted if we got him.

If not Potter then I'd prefer the likes of Postecoglu - at the very least our football would be vibrant and looking to play on the front foot, and he's proven to succeed at 3 different scenarios before the Celtic job.

Alternatively the likes of Gasperini or Galtier - caveat being again I do not know much about their style of football.

considering Henry and Vieira were both on the opposite sides of a takeover bid, I doubt they'll ever be considered

as an Aussie I'm not 100% sure about ange being the answer, but id still be delighted if he got the job. he has a brand of football, and I'd happily put our attacking talents in his care as I think he'd get even more out of them than we're currently seeing
