Yeah TBF White, Lokonga, Tavares, etc all seem like decent signings, even if some are a bit dear, but none of them really move the needle for us. We need someone who'll really improve the first XI.
It's the same for most clubs outside of CL. Look at the signings Liverpool made for years outside the CL and then the signings the same scouting network made when they're in the CL. It's night and day the difference.
White, Lokonga, Tavaresare are all players with potential that haven't had that break out season and we're getting them a bit early and hoping arteta can work his magic on them.
Let's not become spurs remember they tried to sign figo when they were outside the CL.
