The more I think about it, the more I was us to go back to full Wengerball, but with the structure that Arteta brings.
So I'd love to see something like:
Partey - Aouar*
Saka - ESR/Odegaard - Pepe
Auba
*there's probably a better candidate to play in a midfield two, someone who's done it or more to the point, someone who wants to play here. But the point I'm making is I want someone in there who has a really high technical ceiling, who can beat a high press and play a good pass under pressure, and someone who can join attacks too in certain games and turn it into de facto 4-3-3 (or 4-1-2-3). I think Aouar could do it personally, but I'm not convinced that's the position Arteta wanted to sign him for. Basically a better version of Ceballos, someone you'd trust to start 38 games for you.
I really don't see the need for a dedicated ball winner like Bissouma, you'd get so much more use out of a baller, including the ability to control games with the ball, which is so important in a league where teams in 18th can pin you back if you're not able to do so.
Similarly I don't think there's much use in another player who can drive and run with the ball, feels like it becomes too chaotic and lacks balance.
