Looks good doesn't he. Need someone a few years more experienced though, but can imagine Partey helping to bring him through.

We still need a backup goalkeeper. Mat Ryan has been told he can leave Brighton - he can play with the ball at his feet the way Arteta likes, and is much better than Runarsson. He probably won't want to play backup though. It's a tricky position to fill.

Been wishlisting this guy a while. His skill and athleticism. Imagine him playing off Azeez once Partey is done.

We should get one of him, Matheus Henrique and Camavinga. Will settle the relevant position in our midfield for a long time. However, I doubt any of them will come here. I suspect between Real, Bayern, Barca, Liverpool, Y***ted, these guys will get snatched up. Realistically, I would love to get Pellegrini this summer as our #8/10.

I think Camavinga is possibly the toughest to get but guys like Gravenberch would be very easy to get. Remember that a lot of clubs especially in La Liga have financial constraints and need to make profits. So Real are probably not going to buy until they can get Mbappé or Haaland. The midfield resolution can include one mid career and one young midfielder.

Speaking of Dutch League, we should reach out to Malen. To misplace Gnabry is unfortunate. To also lose Malen and Bennacer is careless. Malen is same age as Nketiah btw.

Maybe we should send him there rest of the season. Wouldn't hurt to see him come back with 6 or 7 league goals, some hipster cred and a little bit of confidence

ESR is so good when I was watching the match I keep thinking how good would it be if we can sign a hybrid LW/AM player to combine with him and Saka.

The more I think the more I wonder if it's worth it to just splash the cash for Grealish.

That's who I'd go for too probably. Or just the best CM we can find, and let Partey keep doing what he's doing. It's not a big rush though. Spend the next six months identifying the right player and then go all in in the summer. You rarely find the perfect match in January.

I said it previously IMO we are unlikely to get the players we need this window let alone those we want, particularly to cover all the lack of quality and depth for the 4231.
As such IMO we need to seriously consider switching to the 433, to give us more internal options in midfield and the creative role with the likes of ESR and Saka as the hybrid #8/10, and take the brakes off a forward line including PEA, Laca, Pepe, Martinelli.

Agree with this but we need a backup LB more urgently than a RB. .

We probably still need a better striker than Lacazette.

If we are looking for CM/CAM hybrid, none more perfect than Barella. Easily the best b2b CM I have seen this season consistently.
