Ceballos is a smart defensive player. He’s not as robust and fast as that Brighton fellow, but he works hard, gets stuck in and anticipates well.

IMO the trick to this Jan window is to be able to improve the team creativity and capability overall whiilst doing so.
For that reason it may be better to sign a starting creative/progressive CM to partner Partey and use Ceballos to cover both the CM & CAM positions, rather than to sign a CAM/Wide playmaker who would be more likely an either/or scenario.
Yes we need cover for ESR, but for mind CM remains the more immediate & long term issue.
