We don't need more wingers at all. We have Pepe, Saka, Marti, Nelson, Auba, ESR, etc who can all play there. If we want to bolster the attack sign a striker to replace Laca but even then I'd just ignore the front 3 for now and focus entirely on midfield in this window.

Yeah, I'd pay a lot for Grealish considering how much we spent on Pepe. Pretty amazed about his improvement over the past couple of years.

Probably more gettable from a club that is known to sell is Maddison. That’s a guy I think we could make a legitimate bid for. He’s also very talented. Not at the Grealish level but would come in and lift us.

IMO the match day squad should be capable of meeting Arteta's 3 season ambition to challenge for top honors.

Or you could always get better about sourcing more of those same players that Leicester and Southampton are selling to Big 6 clubs for a killing

And do a better job of developing sales. Ricky once said these clubs just know how to sell better. But these things usually go a lot deeper. I wouldn’t be surprised if their ability to extract these massive values is linked to a lot of other things like keeping a smaller first team which allows you to give players more time; having a better handle on the relative valuations clubs place on players; etc. So we also need to figure out what kind of club we want to be.

The $64k question & perhaps appropriate for The Wishlist.

For me I want to be something of a combo of:
FC Bayernn re domestic players;
RBL re ambition, purpose & structures re top quality recruiting and sales intended to generate revenues to directly reinvest into the squad via more of the same, whilst also increasing the quality of the squad;
BVB re youth;
Guardiola's FC Barcelona re Academy product.

As for style = a combo of both AW's styles - possession 1-2 touch passing and liquid fluidity in transition, combined with the power, pace & efficiency of The Invincibles / Highbury Years.
Hows that for a die hard member of the WOB?
