A few years ago I would be with you guys. Now I'm covinced he would just ruin something that's finally starting to look like a proper football team again.
The midfiled market compared to the striker one is quite good. There is a lot of options to choose from in the summer. No reason to go for someone who's been underperforming for 6 years straight and would demand high wages as well. Luckily, there's no chance that happens anyway.

Since it's the wishlist thread tho, bring back Gnabry home! :drool: I saw there's rumors about him not extending his contract at Bayern. Probably no chance of it happening either, but I'd love him back here.

Football-wise I think he'd be an ideal fit. Profile, price, personality, etc obviously not.

Reports in Munich say Alaba has been lobbying for Madrid to buy Gnabry, also that he's unhappy with his wages and the way he's been used as a wing back in many games. He's clearly very fond of us still, normally I'd argue we're out of the question with the likes of Barcelona or Liverpool being linked but I'd back us over all of them if we made a serious offer.

Juan Miranda or Winjdal would probably make more sense. Personally would love Jesus Gallardo as a backup

We'd buy him with the expectation that he'd establish himself as the new first choice. There are too many question marks surrounding Tierney right now. One of them will probably end up leaving, but we have to have someone good enough to start 40 games next season.

I like his versatility too. Can play in a back 4 and can fill 2 roles in a 5 man back line.
