he just seems more interested in turning players inside out. a lot of young players can do that. freestylers too. i'm more interested in decision making when they're that small.

Tbf you see that a lot in youth team football but you’d expect more from supposedly one of our biggest youth team talents.

Not been that impressed by him relative to the hype but he’s only 16 I guess.

Nothing to do with that. He’s being judged critically because of the hype, reputation and his record breaking first team debut. The 2 youth team games I’ve watched since then have been specifically to see him in action.

There’s plenty others I’m not particularly impressed by but then they don’t warrant any comment.

I don’t actually think our current crop of youngsters look great.

Lewis-Skelly looks promising tbf so he may be one to keep an eye on.

Duberry looks good in flashes but I always think if you’re going to make it you need to be tearing it up in youth team football at this stage. Nelson was a force of nature at the same age.

Could be wrong though, it’s quite unpredictable how players adapt to the first team.

Big Willie Yeah we looked second best on the day. Looked like the team had trouble building out of first phase. Gotta say Nwaneri was a complete non factor. Shocking viewing for someone that doesn't watch him play.

Think Wilshere's post match interview said something along these lines but as ever with youth football the experience is more valuable than the result. If the players can learn from this and use it as an opportunity for growth it will serve us better than winning and potentially resting on their laurels (not that the two things are mutually inclusive).

Shocked and gutted about Patino likely leaving permanently; was shaping up to be one of my favorites at the club. Can be developed into such a class player. Damn. I need a Musiala level talent to overcome this.

Would have been good if we could have got him to do another year on loan somewhere else and see how he develops, still 19... but doesn't look like he is interested in that... Could eventually develop into a top player but doubt it will happen anytime soon and he won't get the game time here to develop. Get a buy back clause on him and Balogun.

That really sucks. Arseblog made some good points about big signings likely arriving in that area of the pitch in the summer, which may have discouraged him.
