Shame. Elneny, Xhaka, Partey and Jorginho will all be 30 or over so there's definitely a pathway for him in future even if we sign a couple of players. I reckon 3 of them will be gone in 16 months.
That being said, I'm not sure he has quite enough about him to be part of a title challenging side. Thought he was going to be a cultured midfielder but he looks like he's developed more into a combative one. Might just be his environment but I would have liked to have seen his technical ability shine through a little more than it has.
