I recon Wenger would have had a big impact on Willock in particular
I don't think Wenger was great for kids in his latter years, either in their development or giving them opportunities. The days where he'd field a largely youth based league cup side were long gone.
Yeah he got a bit desperate towards the end. That 2007-2011 Wenger though would have been brilliant for them. Maybe talent like Saka, ESR, Willock, Martinelli, Nelson, etc would have revitalised him.
Yup. I feel like the likes of Nasri, Flamini, Cesc, RvP and a few others leaving burned him a little.
Sounds like Okonkwo is being promoted to the first team as 3rd choice.
He didn't exactly give up on Walcott Wilshere, Ramsey, Chamberlain, Gibbs either. This crop of young players is great, especially their intelligence. That's where Wenger worked best with players.
For the all the criticism leveled at Arteta/Edu, they seem to be quite good at selling the project to these kids who are on contract standoffs.

We should make him club ambassador.
not hard to sell. we're going to bring this club so far down and buy so much shit that there will be great opportunities to get game time.
but seriously though, these young men would be stupid to leave present day arsenal. if we had great quality in the first team they wouldn't get game time.
We have gotten our highly rated CF Moller a good loan. He is going to Viktoria Koln in Germany's 3rd division. All the best
I'm starting to feel like our loan manager is stealing a living.
That's true of every executive at the club and quite a few of the players too.
Only Mertesacker knows what he’s doing.
Beginning to question that with our approach to youth recruitment/squad building. Assuming there has been some logic to it but currently not clear on the vision.

i can't wait until he's running the club. the kroenke's will eventually get fed up with these chuckleheads.

Is he highly rated?
Looks bang average to me.
if he was highly rated even a 2.bundesliga team would have come in for him. even the loan manager can't force better teams to want him.
Aye I remember we signed Freeman and he was supposedly highly rated. All the blogs were calling him a Wonderkid. And Brady on Irish TV said we only bought him to help out his club who were in a bad financial state. We bought him for something like 400k and sold for a 1m. Brady said he was never going to be an arsenal player he hadn't got the talent. He's 29 now and had one goal in his last 2 seasons. But the hype about him was ridiculous all the youth blogs and newspapers need to make stories that get people hyped up and engaged
Excited to see Jack Henry-Francis develop. Has the ability to receive the ball in tight spaces and wiggle his way out of trouble. Also a very progressive passer. Looks a better prospect than Smith Rowe in my opinion
I really liked the look of him in his brief cameo, he reminds me a little of Cesc, not in his passing ability but the way he's constantly on the move to offer up passing angles for his teammates and generally plays with his head up, scanning everything around him. He looks like he's about 12 though.
