Klaus, any idea on Emil Robak from Hammerby that Milan recently signed ? Apparently we were heavy favorites to get him before Milan jumped ahead of us.

Think he's more lanky/skinny than anything, seems like he's just 1.90m. Might appear taller because of Italian midget youths playing against him, that video of his is when he was under contract with Bologna. They have some of the better youth scout setups in Europe but so far he looks unimpressive to me.

Yup I read a couple of months ago that we were very light on in the U23s, which is partly why we were picking up some young guys who had been let go by other clubs - also because sometimes players fall through the cracks.

I think we did pay fees for some of these guys - 450k or so rings a bell.

Hmm. The problem with this list is that it’s designed to be seen as equitable, so they pick a new player from every club each year. In reality, there aren’t that many interesting talents. Let’s see what happens

I've never seen him play but he's supposed to be good. He was all but certain to sign for us apparently, we had met the asking price along with Bayern, whom he rejected, and Milan which he weren't keen on either, but he went to Milano to check out their facilities as a courtesy, and he liked it so much there that he chose them instead.

I'm pretty sure Zlatan was involved in that deal. He owns shares in Hammarby and was showing Roback around personally in Milano, and he's acting as a mentor to him now.

Our reserves beat Crawley town first team (League 2) 2-1 to progress in the EFL trophy.

Azeez was our star performer with a goal and assist.

Great to see. He's been staying on the bench for the U23. The slightly older players like Olayinka and Cottrell have been starting for both the U21 and U23. There's still a lot of time though given his age, but he does look a marvellous talent. He's definitely the next big thing.

Azeez is very good, first time I saw him he was obviously a massive prospect. Seems to have the right mentality, too. Keep him fit, playing, and grounded and I think he's got a great shot at making something of himself at the top level.

Mavropanos cant seem to catch a break with injuries.

He had just come back from a knock which forced him to miss the first two games of the season for Stuttgart.

Now he has torn his meniscus in a club friendly game and is out until the new year.

This feels a bit contraproductive. All of them are too good for U23 football (except Cedric, who's just too old). Why do we prefer to play them alongside kids that are several years younger rather than sending them out on loan when they can't find first team oppotunities at Arsenal?
