Marcelo Flores not happy he did not go on tour. He snubbed the under 20 world cup to be with the team in pre season and was left at home. Good thing we took 5 keepers(one being Leno who is as good as gone and the other the non league player that is Runnarson) but not youth players. Torreira is with the team as well as is the great Pablo Mari.

Apparently its the Martinelli signing and then not being included in the preseason with the first team that pushed him to not extend.

Currently, Arsenal have four senior options ahead of Hutchinson, with other under-23s also vying for a spot. Bukayo Saka, Nicolas Pepe, and Reiss Nelson are all fighting for a place on the right.

Yet it was the £3m summer arrival of Marquinhos from Sao Paulo that was the potential move that sealed Hutchinson’s exit and made his mind up for him. Unlike Hutchinson, Marquinhos was immediately drafted in to play in the friendly against Nurnberg.

Meanwhile, Hutchinson remained behind and played in a friendly defeat to Woking. He was then not included in the squad that played against Hereford.

Another itk youth watcher also mentioned he was not happy not coming on against Burnley last year etc.

Can't remember if there was a legit opportunity for him to come on? What match was that?

How is he rated? Never hear talk about him, I know he had that one pre-season game last year where he was bad but other then that, nothing.

He's supposed to be pretty good but I've never been impressed when I've seen him, including in the youth teams.

Same - that being said, actual match experience is so important at that age, so it's great that he's getting a loan deal.

Same here. I always hear about how he's highly rated but whenever I've seen a game he has looked downright poor.

The Athletic is saying Nelson is gonna be given a chance this year, so that means he is staying. Maybe we are not getting that right winger and he will get the EL & cups game?

He's played mostly from the left in pre-season, and I reckon Marquinhos is ahead of him at right wing, and Pépé, if he stays, is guaranteed to be too.

He mostly played on the right for Feyenoord last year though.

Anyway was reading some fan reviews of his time at Feyenoord. Overall barely above average (not Miyaichi kind of wow for them) but nothing too bad or special.

Like Willock needed a PL loan last season, I think under a supportive manager he would do alright.

The fact that he's willing to stay here doesn't say a lot about his hunger levels really. I'd love nothing more than Reiss to be a success here, he's as silky as anyone on the ball, but the kid seems to just want an easy ride. I can't see him getting enough game time, even with Europa/5 subs.

Okonkwo started Crewe's first match of the season. Fantastic if he can get a full season of pro football under his belt at this age.
