Will 100% be down to money if it’s true. The guy just turned 18 it would have nothing to do with playing time, it’s like when people claimed Balogun was leaving because he was an unused sub in a cup game. The reality is these kids now have high profile agents, Kia in this case, who will try and squeeze every penny they can from the moment this guys come out of the womb.

Mind you, how could he be leaving at this stage? Doesn’t his deal run out in a year?

That's pretty shocking. He is a huge huge talent. From what I seen of Marquinhos, Omari is definitely the bigger talent even if he is 18.

It's the middle of July, if he didn't have at least a year left on his contract he'd already be a free agent.

Agree with your point though, the wording on the news making the rounds makes it seem like he's moving for free.

Ridiculous situation, does worry when we’re losing youth prospects to rivals. Clearly something wrong with the transition from youth to first team, and that’s on Arteta.

There’s nothing wrong with it! We give youth a lot of chance - certainly no less than other clubs.

We have like 90% of the youngest 20 lineups in the PL last season or something equally ridiculous as well as having the youngest squad, the argument is moot.

Ray is arguing the transition from youth team to first team, not how many young players Edu Buys for him to play.

By my count that's 2 though, Balogun and Patino.

That doesn't mean we are doing necessarily well with the youngsters that come from our academy. Youth development is not only restricted to buy 23 year old kids and see how many minutes they play

We can't lose a player like Hutchinson to Chelsea. If we do that's an indictment on this club. It's not like he's going to get better first team opportunities with them so the move must be about money. Bloke's an extraordinary talent.

The wording of the reports (talks broke down) makes it sound like we wouldn't even entertain what he was asking for.

Definitely Arteta's fault for losing Omari Hutchinson. He should have played Saka, Pepe and Hutchinson all at once on the right wing.

The fact that we have so many prospects coming through is also testament to some of his and Edu’s work

IT is in its arse. He inherited a great youth set up and some of the best young players this clubs ever produced. Has zero to do with those 2.

I don't think the Hutchinson situation is on Arteta though. This an Edu black mark in the copy book.
