There is a bad trend developing here. Not only do we keep allowing old, unambitious hasbeens to hang around collecting oversized salaries. We are now also driving away young, ambitious lads with lots of potential and upside.

Depends on your perspective. Many argued that Wenger held on to these ‘next season is breakthrough season’ guys like Ox too long and there is an argument to say AMN fits into the same category. I would also argue that selling Iwobi for £30m has been a good decision in hindsight.

I actually think we've missed Iwobi and just because he hasn't worked out for Everton doesn't mean he wouldn't have been better here. We've been worse than last season so these things aren't so cut and dry. The Iwobi money wasn't reinvested either.

Iwobi is terrible in a front 3 and is only half decent centrally. His passing is inconsistent and his figures are as bad as a centre back's in the league.

He'll be sold to a bottom half club for less than half what they paid for him in 2 years.

I think the biggest value in AMN atm is his HG status, but I don't think we'll get value from the market at this point if the likes of Ceballos are going for under 30m.

Key point being does Arteta want to play a 3 or 3 man midfield and/or a 3 man backline?
