Is the Bale signing a loan or swap? Seen some conflicting reports.

Bale will be on loan, but they are still fighting about who pays what in wages. Spurs want 50/50(that's still crazy, 300.000 a week)and Real want Spurs to pay all of it.

Really? This is the same guy who refused to leave and insisted that he'd rather sit on the bench and play golf whilst getting paid. Bale's ambitions extend little further than his paycheck, and this has been evident for years now.

He's been more than happy to sit on the bench for the past couple of years. However Bale does care about the NT so I expect this is about him getting fit before his last major intl tournament.

I think Bale could be useful for them. He’s only 31 and will be coming here to prove a point. I don’t think he will be ‘on the beach’ like Ozil, two completely different players.

Also, he hasn’t had much ‘wear and tear’ over the past two years since he hasn’t played much so he will be fit and raring to go imo.

Think it will be a shrewd signing by Spurs.

He was edging for a move to China isn't it? Real Madrid cancelled the deal while he was due for a medical.

But whenever he was on the pitch he did okay despite Zidane obviously not wanting him

Wanting to go to China is hardly the trademark of someone with ambitions. Also he absolutely did not do okay whenever he played.

I don't think Bale has ever been great even when he was playing regularly. Scored great goals sure, he's technically brilliant, but you'd barely know he was playing half the time. His movement and positioning is appalling.
