With Messi you have to wonder if his heart is in it anymore. Making a move at 33, when you've won everything there is to win in club football over and over, to a club where things are harder and less glamorous is not for everyone. He's already jumping ship at Barca because they look like they won't be competitive for the first time in his life. Being stuck with an unmotivated, old player on £100 million wages annually is the sort of deal that could effectively end a non-petrol club. I think PSG and City are the only ones in the world who could possibly afford to take that chance.
I don't know about that - the problem with Barcelona isn't just that they've been uncompetitive since 2015
I know what you mean but the uncompetitive Barcelona won the league four times since 2015. Even without Messi they'd still be a CL contender if they sort their board mess out
As Clrnc says Messi in a wheelchair would still piss on the league. Not sure i could stomach watching him in the PL, taking all club allegiances out he's easily my favourite footballer ever, watching him tear us a new one then go celebrate with dickheads like de Bruyne or Kyle fucking Walker would ruin watching Arsenal for me.
