If you go back on this forum, you will see that I wishlisted Ndombele about 2 or 3 years back. So I like the guy.

But he has had a tough first season at Spurs. And the manager who the club has committed some £40m pounds and several years to is not interested in playing him. He's not part of whatever vision he is laying out. So why persist with him? Why piss off the manager, frustrate a kid entering his prime, and lock up valuable cash on the bench?

The guy joined in November. He's got them up from wherever they were when Poch left into 6th place. At least give him a full season with a summer of transfers to judge him. This guy only just won a league title in 2015 so talk of him being over the hill is fake news.

I agree. The club has to back Jose, but in reality I think they’re doubling down on the initial error of hiring Jose in the first place.

There now exists a great opportunity for the game’s gilded few. While clubs that are revenue dependent will have to retract their budgets to compensate for lost matchday income, others will carry on regardless, secure in the depth of their owners’ pockets.

It will be an advantage accentuated by UEFA’s response to the crisis, and their decision in mid-June to relax the Financial Fair Play regulations. 2020 will now be assessed as part of the 2021 period, with clubs allowed made to make losses exceeding £30m over three-years. There is a caveat, in that such deficits must be shown to be the result of lost income, but that would presumably be just another rope for Europe’s more nimble clubs to skip.

Would be great if they'd consider it. Levy would outmanoeuvre us though and get us to throw in Pépé and Nelson. He's apparently the sharpest negotiator in the league

Ndombele seems to have a recurring work rate or fitness problem. He looked regularly gassed in the games i saw him start for spurs. I recall reading he had similar problems earlier in his career. It would be strange for him to go play for conte of all people.

I have heard similar complains on message boards/forums from Lyon fans in the past.

Primarily to do with his lackadaisical approach to fitness and training in general and the other being him going through the motions in games which generally would not be called glamorous.

We did in terms of both Ozil and Sanchez & in some respects Campbell, but then we managed to contrive to frakk that up oursleves because we dance to the beat of a different drum.
