Probably. He's such high quality. And he's not exactly like Pirlo. Pirlo is much more of a hub playmaker, he is the critical node - i.e, a large proportion of play is directed through him, many players don't pass to each other directly, they depend on him for distribution. Tonali is much more reserved. He sets up the offence early and then the play evolves from his good initial ball. Even Pirlo doesn't see him as the next Pirlo. The kid only just turned 20, so he might evolve into a much more domineering playmaker, but the quality is indisputable.
I wonder if Arteta would look at him at that price as someone who could play the classic Guardiola role.
