Don't see anything in your quote, but Sport are saying that he looks set to join us. They also say that Barcelona are looking to get rid of Todibo. Wasn't he fairly highly rated by some on here? Apparently Schalke had a €25m buy option in their loan and didn't make use of it, so maybe not.

Don't want Todibo especially for 25 million.

He is soon to be 21 and still a an extremely raw player with barely 20 first team appearances under his belt with a questionale injury record.

Considerably lagging behind in terms of experience and development when you compare with his French U-21 peers like Malang-Sarr, Konate, Upmecano or even Saliba.

Claims Arsenal have no told him directly. Looks like they're trying to dampen the whole FC Kia stuff.

I would very much prefer signing Coutinho than Willian. Younger and will bring more to the table

Makes more sense.

That means either one will play off the left.

The midfield three cannot carry a Coutinho.

Agree. At least Coutinho would be lower risk and in a position we lack someone and he's just a better player who has had better highs during his career.

If it’s a choice between Coutinho and Willian, you go for Coutinho all day long.

Would be gutted if we signed the Chelsea hasbeen, while a motivated Coutinho ends up at Spurs or something.

Coutinho is a good player. Maybe not as great as he was hyped up to be but it's not his fault Barcelona are a dumpster fire.

Willian on the other hand has no potential upside. At best he'll maintain his current levels.

I think Coutinho would be a huge risk personally. Bayern have paid £18m for someone who's started 20 games and has been notoriously unreliable.

Willian on the other hand is a reliable 50 games a season player and a consistent 18 odd goal/assist a season player and hard worker.

Coutinho also solves our needs. If you can do the Guendouzi trade plus a small amount of cash then could be worth it.

As for Kia bankrupting us, it won’t happen. The only problem is that we will be stuck with sub-optimal outcomes if we over-index on one man. Maybe someone like a Buendia is a better option in our situation when you look at athletic and financial parameters. It’s worrisome. We rejected Kia’s overtures in the days of Mascherano and Tevez but he’s found a great situation here with an unstable team and his friends.
