Wouldn't say no to Coutinho on a 1 year loan assuming we spend all our money on a Partey + 1 starting CB. He's way better than Ozil or anything else we have there.

Coutinho is good. Only problem is we cannot afford him on a permanent deal. So, like Ceballos, he'd be another tourist in an area of the field where we need to build chemistry and consistency. I would be happy to line up our kids and pick 2 we are willing to sacrifice and sell them along with the likes of Xhaka, so that we can afford to get Partey + 1 another massive midfield player. Just so we don't have to think about our central midfield pivot for another 4 years.

If we end up with Coutinho, Willian, and Partey, and retain Aubameyang and Saka, how would ya'll be feeling? It satisfies the needs of our midfield (an 8/10 and a 6), and supplements the attack with a very poor "opportunity" signing, allowing us to send another guy out for some real playing time on loan (potentially).

It's typically half-assed Arsenal, but it sees the team through another season while we build more value in our younger players. By see us through, I mean we compete for nothing and qualify for nothing other than possibly the Europa league.

Basically, it would be year 1 of 10. We're in year 0.5 right now.

No need for Willian, but I'd accept Coutinho. But really it's the type of signing - ideally a loan - that only makes sense if we shed Ozil first.
