goon, if you've already got your concrete set for a partey, you might be the aouar-chitect of your own downfall
That Elliot guy is the one that broke the Runnar deal.

Maybe. Aulas, I'm going to believe we're going to edu all we can.
So we're getting both? Cool.
We're getting both.
This guy is going to be so, so important to Arteta's Arsenal and whatever legacy it might have.
Got this song stuck in my head

Check the video i posted on page 1. Everyone in that video clearly coked out of their minds 😆

I think we’ll get both too and maybe even Edouard - Don’t think Arteta is sold on Laca or Eddie
I listen to a lot of 80s stuff. It came on earlier. It was a sign. Vinai is writing the check as we speak
Partey isn’t going to kill attacks like that. He’s much more forward looking. That’s the balance we need to strike with him and Ceballos when we get him. It’s why I fear we’d be stuck with Xhaka even if we got him given Arteta’s conservatism.
Make no mistake, Fabinho is an elite defensive mid. We are going to struggle to find anything close to him
We tried to get fabinho as i recall, but pool just had too much juice at the time. 35m was a snip for him
Yet we had twice as much money for Lemar? Priorities. The smart teams picked off the good cuts from that Monaco team. We stood on the sidelines
I thought Fabinho went for £40m? Either way not sure why there wasn't much competition for him, possibly due to Pool starting early on the deal and Klopp having the pull. It is similar to the lack of competition we face for Partey, which we absolutely need to close down.
We were too slow with Fabinho. That's all. He was available for 2 or 3 summers
We were too slow with everything Monaco
City went out and brought bernardo silva at the beginning of the summer for 35m
We waited and bid 90m for the inferior Lemar
as Clarence said Fabinho was available for a while.
Liverpool were Champions League runners up, were actually in the CL and had Klopp, so it's obvious why he would have chosen them.
Its something people ignore when they expect us to sign sure things at the moment. We have to pay big money for risks. If the players were sure things they'd be going to CL clubs.

Exactly
In fact we were linked before Liverpool were.
We should have landed him, exactly what we are missing.
We have not had a proper DM in years. I would also argue that we have not had a proper CM in years as well.

I mean he was great 2 years even before liverpool wanted to sign him. Once again it boiled down to our unambitious team under Wenger. It was only after Emery took over he immediately made Fabinho a priority which obviously at that time he chosen Liverpool instead and we had to go for our alternative which is Totreira

Fabinho didn't suddenly materialise. He already looked incredible in the Monaco run - I remember Clrnc mentioning him. And I was amongst folks who thought we should be signing him at least a year before Liverpool bought him.
It goes back to keeping Wenger too long on one-year contracts. That is the root of our issues in his final years. It cost us so much time because her was solving problems one-year-at-a-time.
