can't really look at it that way unless you expected the club to predict the COVID outbreak.

Not the outbreak but being injured and not ready to play even by June could surely have been predicted.

I mean that was a total joke of a signing and creates big question marks on what is going on at the club. All the stories at the time was that nobody could believe we were signing him because of his injury troubles. The fact that he wouldn't have been ready in normal season time just further supports that.

No that's my opinion, everything around the transfer seems dodgy. I don't think a player with a knee injury due to be released by Southampton is someone we were legitimately interested in to improve our squad. If we were I worry about the guys incharge of our recruitment. Either they are corrupt our incompetent neither is that great an outcome.
