Eddie has been good. Today he was really good. Awareness and aggression for first goal, positioning and reflexes for second goal. All round hard work, especially with initiating the high press consistently and convincingly.

He's won me over.

flobaba Yep, he’s showing an all round game now that I didn’t think he had. Never doubted him as a penalty box striker, but he’s developing into much more than that.

Bit hard on Jesus who's been destroying the role! With the exception of goals, but there's no denying every other aspect of his game set a great template for our success this season.

As a finisher, best since Wrighty. Only Eduardo had movement like this, and he barely played a dozen healthy games. The way he lost his man on the first goal was sick nobody else on our team does that

This boy had over 1,5 xG in both the games against Spurs and United. He’s a shot generation monster.

I would say Eduardo was still the best but yeah his time was too short lived.

Clrnc Yeah, either we're underrating Eduardo or we're getting carried away by a great win as there's no way Eddie is the better finisher, you just have to look at the range of different goals Eduardo scored.

But look, I'm glad things are working out for him - real credit to his perseverance and hard work. 12 months ago, he wasn't showing this kind of performance and I think the majority of us were fine with him leaving but he's really stepped up in that time.

Not underrating Eduardo. Sad that he only had half a season at most healthy. We’ve seen Nketiah for years. His movement and finishing has always been evident. This kid didn’t set the England U21 record by fluke. He’s a natural scorer. There was always a question about putting it all together, and now he’s starting to do that.

Watching MotD last night and when not in the heat of the game worrying about if the shots went in or not it was remarkable how often Eddie managed to get himself into the right place at the right time in that match. His finishing is good but it means nothing if you can't do that. Its probably the single most important quality for a striker and Eddie has it.

Striking isn’t really about finishing by the way. It’s about chance generation. And this is what Eddie does better than anyone on our team. The fact that a guy can generate 3 xG in chances against United and Spurs is just outrageous. And that’s all done to his instincts. The way he peeled off his defenders for the goals and the chance he shot right into De Gaea with his weak foot is extraordinary.
