Seen some videos from India today where people going out on their balconies to bang utensils together as a way of thanking people dealing with the outbreak. Which is all fine and good if there weren't thousands of people on the streets all going around like it was a fucking street party.....
UK has been fucking mental today, took the kids out for a walk and walked past the park and it was fucking rammed. People out like it's fucking bank holiday weekend.

Remarkable how low Germany's mortality rate is, looks an anomaly when you look at the numbers infected compared to how many have died. Have all sorts of reasons why, be interesting to see once this is all over why their numbers are so different to everyone else.
There seems to be two main reasons. First one is that they test more, which means that they've "diluted" the mortality statistics, whereas in the UK the deaths constitute a higher number of the known cases. It's likely not because it's deadlier to live in England than in Germany; it's just that the Germans have a smaller dark figure of infected people.
Second reason is that they apparently don't test deceased people for corona. Only patients who have been diagnosed before they expire show up in the statistics, so their mortality rate is most likely higher than officially reported.
The third reason is probably connected to them having more critical care beds per 100K citizens than anyone else in the world aside from the United States.
That definitely makes more sense of their figures, especially the second reason you list. When countries don't use universal methods to record the deaths it will make it much harder for the medical authorities at their teams to do deep analysis on the numbers.
