Offer the club enough money so they don't love him anymore

I would love us to get Jude Bellingham. Absolute talent

I think Edouard might be a player that many teams target this summer. Has been great for Celtic, 20 goals in 22 games in the SPL, 24 goals in 37 games so far.

Including us if we sell either/both PEA & Laca.

I want some power and athleticism in midfield brought in this summer.

And keep Aubameyang at all costs.

I think Eddie and Martinelli will allow us to cash in on Lacazette

Keep Auba.

Buy Richarlison for the left, or central when needed.

Dacoure for the midfield and we’d be well set

Not expecting a massive summer especially with the Euros. Hopefully can cash in on Lacazette, Xhaka, Kolasinac and at least one of our many CBs.

Really want a powerful midfielder like Partey or Doucore. Like Ricky, think Mings would be a great addition but seems unlikely. Would also take a punt on Antonio from West Ham as cover for our wide positions.

Traore is out of our price range now. Isn't he also a RW which puts him in direct competition with Pepe?

Like the Doucoure call. Ceballos is starting to grow on me. Want to see what happens next dozen games and how his Madrid future is resolved. He still has one or two things to iron out but you can see that he’s a level above guys like Willock and Guendouzi. A two-some like that would work.

We should take a punt on a cheap Giroud type striker and sell Laca. In Aubameyang, Nketiah, Martinelli and Pépé, we’d be covered for smaller more mobile forwards.

Would loan out Martinelli next season. If we need forward cover, would consider someone like Glenn Murray for a season while we look for Auba's long-term sucessor. Different type of forward, but a very clever given his lack of pace etc. Think he would have a lot to teach our young CFs while offering a different type of option.

are you trolling?

Mr reliable Kike says we are interested in Partey but not for 50m. Reasonable to expect Partey to renew his contract without further interests but if he doesn't want to renew Atletico will offer him out

€50m sounds like a steal for him.

Shit, I'd consider him up to €80m, and just sell our entire midfield for him. Don't think we'd be any worse off.

He's not old, but for €80m I'd prefer someone younger, like Tottenham and Ndombele. If he was the last piece missing then sure, but I think it'll take some years until we can compete again and I'd want an €80m signing to be in his best age when that happens.

At 50m Euro, there will be a long line for him. Just about every team could use a guy like him, especially at that price.
If we spent that much on a midfielder, we probably would only have one midfielder. Who would you surround him with?

Linked with Myron Boadu

Looks a top prospect. Great physique/agility

Another link, again no idea about the Journo. Follow up tweet says Thomas priority is to stay with Atletico but his agents have been to London to talk with Arsenal.

Ran Kike's tweet through Google Translate and its says

Confirmed: @Arsenal Thomas Partey was already interested, but right now he does not consider his signing for € 50 million and it is normal to renew his contract with @Atleti Another thing is that he does not want to continue and his club negotiates. #Arsenal #Thomas

:brow:

Sounds like his agents are using our interest as leverage for him to get a better deal but he's not really interested.

Jonathan David really looks promising. Been a constant threat and Roma can't handle him

I remember seeing him when I was looking at Alphonso Davies. Seems his stock has only catapulted since then.

Seems worth a punt, Gent has produced the likes of De Bruyne.

IMO we need to consider options if we fail to qualify for UEFA all together.
Not necessarily a problem if your manager has some credibility of track record as seen with Klopp and LFC, but will be particularly difficult unless Arteta cam weave some magic to show we are worthy.

Linked to Florian Grillitsch at Hoffenheim today. Is he any good Jones?

He's a decent little player. Not even remotely good enough for Arsenal though.

Sound like Arteta told Raul he want Grealish and Raul heard the wrong guy...

Cheers. More central than box to box, right? I remember Tottenham were linked to him last year.

TBH I'm not so much worried about reputations or quality so long as they fit the narrative so far as the team rebuild is concerned. Based upon what we've seen from the likes of Xhaka and Mustafi I have faith in Arteta's ability to get a performance from players he deems suitable. I don't want any more square pegs or for us to spend big on 1-2 top class players if we are going to fill out the team/squad with players who are not fit for purpose.

shit i'm not very picky these days. i don't even know what's arsenal quality anymore.

That's because the club doesn't know what it wants to be or what it stands for.
You can't say it's 'Wengerball' because there were at least 3 renditions - The Good, The Not So Good/Bad, and we ended with The Ugly.

Yeah more a holding midfielder, not very athletic. He's decent as in he looked like a complete nothing player before and has become one of the better mids in the league but not good enough for any team harbouring CL hopes in any league.

He looks limited.

We need some fuck off pace in our team. Wish we had Adama Traore or Sarr. Very rough round the edge but real weapons.

We have Aubameyang, Pépé and Martinelli: they don't come much quicker than that; we just can't use their speed because we can't counter. Mostly because we have no midfield to win the ball back. Or do literally anything useful for that matter.

They’re all on a pace level below fuck off pace.

agree though that we need a lot more from our midfield. Defence too but I’m hopeful Saliba will be the nuts
