Hadn't thought of that. I'd be all for taking that off him but I suspect there's some contractual obligation to let him have it. There's too much money in his brand to risk losing the number, but then again, would his team ever have foreseen the circumstances where that might happen and insist on it?

If we are worth any salt we need to be in for him. Been watching him for half a year now he looks like the next great Brazilian defender

Edit 😮h, it's Lille Gabriel. Didn't watch the video and thought it was someone from the Brazilian league. He'll be expensive though.

What's he like Clrnc? Lucio or Silva? Or Marquinhos maybe?

Yeah Lucio is a good shout, although he don't carry the ball as much.

I wouldn't say he is special on the ball like some passes David Luiz is capable of but 1v1 defending and aerial ability he is top notch.

Just some thoughts re the ongoing talk re Partey, Coutinho & Willian.

These are not only 3 of the 4 positions seen as being priorities (the other being CB), but I also wonder if by targeting 'name'/recognised players (who would likely be starters due to their wages), if this has anything to do with trying to appease PEA wanting 'assurances' re player signings before he'd agree to remain?

My guess is we'll get a better idea after The Final.

I think we will start to see more activity come next week as well. The club seem focused on the final at the moment and that is fair enough.

A bit disappointing that the window is going to remain open until the 5th of October 2020. We'd be 3 to 4 games into the season at that point. Quite liked how it shut before a ball was kicked last season and was hoping we'd see something similar again.

I don't think a 32 year old Willian is what Aubameyang has in mind if he wants assurances about player signings that will move the club up a tier.

Not sure which suggestions you’re talking about but Gabriel is left footed
