Chambers was quality before his injury, Mari has looked decent. With Saliba coming in to join that group, we’d be significantly improved for CB options next season.
More than anything we need to invest massively in that god awful midfield. Our best midfielder is Xhaka who’s bang average. We need 2 serious CM’s brought in. Partey and Van De Beek/Grealish. We won’t challenge for anything with the current poverty options in midfield. That being said, ESR’s return should give us a boost regarding the creativity issue, although he shouldn’t be a starter.
