Swedish baller, only 20 I think but he has been playing for Bologna in Serie A for the last two years. He hasn't gotten a lot of playing time this season but I rate him. Very quick player with good allround skillset. Will probably end up either a central midfielder or something similar to Emil Forsberg. I watched him break through at 17 in the local derby and it was kinda obvious right away that he would play in a big European league at some point. The speed and technique set him apart. I don't think he's ever going to be good enough for a club like Arsenal though, but who knows.

How do you know they haven't changed? For starters Gaizidis left and he seemed to be the major Ornstein leaker. Secondly there is a lot more prestige in working for the BBC over The Athletic.

The other big change to Ornstein (and Amy) though appears to be editorial rigour and pressure. Ornstein didn't publish nearly as many big "exclusives" when he was at the BBC and when he did it was usually much more solid. He's chasing clicks and subscriptions now and it shows.

I think he still has sources, you can generally tell what you can believe and can't believe by the way he phrases his info. But he's obviously under more pressure to produce stories more often than at the end of a transfer saga so there's a lot of filler in between.

I don't know if they've changed, but even if they haven't then so what? What he's saying has changed. Before he only wrote something when it was basically a sure thing and now he's tweeting that "we were interested in Thiago before so who knows, maybe we still are".

I never said he doesn't have sources. I said he doesn't have the same sources. He's nowhere near as reliable as he used to be.

Hes basically confirming he doesn't have sources anymore when he said we used to the intrested in thiago but now I've no idea.

Must be rough loosing your source while at the same time becoming responsible for printing x5 as many stories.

There was such a sharp decline in his reliability the moment Gazidis left. For years the club used Ornstein as a mouthpiece. He wasn't a journalist a smuch as a walking press release. Then the first transfer window after Egghead left comes along and Ornstein ends up looking like a right clown. His sources about Carrasco, Nkunku and Perisic were no better than your average twitter ITK. Bloke went from being as reliable as the official website to being as irrelevant as John Cross. Easy with the benefit of hindsight to see where he got his information from.
