They probably have a plan that involves either keeping Zaniolo or Pellegrini or getting 40m+ for each of them. Either way, it doesn't involve us. They've seen that we rich and desparate and our going to empty our pockets like a clever young lady at the club.

Yeah that's true. The fact that we are even targeting Kluivert if true is just stupid. Zaniolo is the one to get. 30m + Mkhi for him and I would be delighted.

Agreed. If we were to target someone at Roma, it must be one of Pellegrini, Zaniolo or Diawara.

I am not a fan of Under either.
He may score a worldie once in a while but he spends most matches trying to take the entire opposition on by himself and running into blind allies.

About to sign for Bayern. Apparently they offered the most attractive deal for the player and his agent.

I think Kluivert is appealing because he's a born dribbler. Nothing is as valuable in football as players that can actually beat their man. You can't really justify giving him minutes on the flanks over guys like Saka, Gabi and Nelson though, let alone Pepé.

I would not be surprised if Bayern cash-in on Lucas Hernandez this summer.

He is becoming kind of redundant with Alaba looking more and more comfortable in the LCB role and Davies becoming indispensable at left back.

Can't see that happening, they're too proud to give up on a 80m buy that quickly and won't get anywhere near as much for him, he's been mostly injured and clubs are low on cash now.

Agree with this. They've really had to plug gaps in defense this season and are so lucky they are dominant elsewhere. I think this season, they've basically had to rotate some combination of Alaba, Pavard, Boateng, Martinez and Süle in there. Alaba's been the best and it's helpful that Davies is owning left fullback.

They also have to balance their books if their very public pursuits of Sane (and Havertz) have to go somewhere.

I don't think they are getting any money for Boateng or Javi Martinez who will leave soonish.

I disagree. Many folks here rate various players on Roma. It's just this guy.
And it's not just that he's not great. He's not that much better than the options we have. If he was a right back, I'd give him a pass cos we are desperate.

It’s not that he plays for Roma, it’s that he is a young attacking player playing in Serie A, how many young exciting wingers come from there? Compare that with the Ligue 1 and Bundesliga, and fans get more excited generally IMO. From an Arsenal point of view, agreed we are well stocked with that type of player, but I wouldn’t mind getting him then loaning him out to one of those leagues, his value may double.

What are we? Speculators? While we wait for his talent to double in Bundesliga, we'll have tied up 15 million pounds that could've been used elsewhere. I would rather put that 15m pounds into the Partey situation

Kluivert is crud. Way too powderpuff - shows the odd good thing which makes YouTube clips looks half impressive.
