That article says that Jovic is not interested in Arsenal though and is waiting for Rangnick to take over at Milan.

We should resolve ourselves to the fact that there will be super agent sloppy seconds showing up at our club from now on. Thats one trait we can now proudly share with big clubs like barcelona, whose transfer dealings have become a parody

at least Barcelona also have the cream of the crop to go with the sloppy seconds. we just get it in the face and keep it moving. i really wish I could break bread with Stan and ask him what his plan is

I mean we signed a £70m winger, a highly rated left back and two of the best young talents around in Martinelli and Saliba, so I don't think that's quite accurate. And it's probably much more difficult to recruit for us than the likes of Barcelona.

I'm not saying our recruitment has been perfect over the last 2-3 years but folks need to stop expecting perfection.

hey, I'm the one who put up the youth team in the Autumn transfer as a basis for a reset, so I think we have the basis to start again.

but it's clear we don't have galacticos like Barca, so they can afford to fuck around with some of the crap that Raul negotiated over the years.

i just hope Edu has the cojones to order a reset this summer and just start dumping. I'd be happy to move towards guys like Jovic and Partey and dump a lot of folks

Yeah, we've been in a perpetual state of needing a clearout of over a decade now which just tells how you bad recruitment has been over the longer term. We can't afford to make any mistakes this summer and I really hope we abandon the idea that a well placed cheap, experienced signing can be an easy fix to CL football. Just stick with the younger guys, we've done well in that area.

yeah. you have to start learning at some point. this is what happened with Liverpool. the Fenway guys fucked around for a few years, made a few big mistakes, but they pivoted and started knocking it out the park. I'd like to think we have the ability to do the same. figure out how to get more Martinellis and Lenos. And fewer Soares types

Not expecting perfection but the Cedric deal was so obviously an agent deal most people moaned about it the moment it went through.

I can only recall one or two people here being delighted with it.
