We should give Cagigao free range to find the best young talent.

Were stuck with ozil more than ever unfortunately. Nobody was willing to pay those wages before now hes been average for another year and hes older his an even more unattractive prospect.

You can give him up for free and pay some of his wage this season. If someone is willing to give him a 3 year deal at £200k on a free, we might as well pay £150k a week in his last year for him to fuck off. We’d save £10m pounds before tax on an ineffective player.

You are so kind to him to call him average.

He has never had any suitors outside of China and USA since he joined us unfortunately.

If Pogba was available would you take him, all things (i.e. including the asshole agent) considered?

If he’s healthy, I take him. His main problem is he seems to have the Ramsey health limitation: star quality is useless if the guy doesn’t play. That said, he’d be one our 2 best players and take midfield to another dimension

Would rather invest in someone like Camavinga then Pogba.

Wouldn’t take Pogba for the likely cost it would involve.

If we’re going to splash then splash on a left sided forward

Pogba would probably another Ozil here.

Time to focus and build a team for the future. When they all mature it will be glorious.

You’re absolutely right that this is the time for StatDNA to work with Edu to find the young players who would most perfectly fit into Arteta’s vision of football. Put together a team that will gel and win together

Nah. I think theres still something there and the right manager can get him motivated but I wouldn't lumber than on an Arsenal manager right now, theres too much else to do and it'd be too big a risk with our resources.

Partey, Umtiti on the cheap and Coutinho on loan would make this a great window.

---------------Leno
Cedric--Saliba--Umtiti--Saka
--Partey-Torreira-Coutinho
Pepe-----------------Martinelli
---------------Auba

Are we really to believe that we are simultaneously at war with our own players over pay cuts and also trying to spend €50m on Partey?

Yerrr!

“Hi Skhodran. Thanks for doing your bit and agreeing to the wage cut. You’re helping to protect the club financially.”

Next day. Baaaaam 1 x Thomas Partey up in herre!

It seems the wage issue, is the club using the current crisis to bring down the players wages in line with a club who hasn't been in the CL for a while but is paying CL wages.

Rumours doing the rounds about Partey and Jovic today. Jovic being the prime target to replace Auba.

I could live with this next season

—————-Leno
Bellerin—Saliba—Luiz—Saka
————Partey
———Ozil ——Willock
Pepe——-Jovic—-Martinelli

The Partey rumours are growing legs by the minute.

Just in, Coutinho offered on loan (or a laughable 70 mil) to us. Fortunately only tabloids so far. Cos... do not want.

Even if that's the case nobody wants to come here these days. The reputation of our club when Wenger was declining was bad enough, constant thrashing in big games and laughing stock in UCL.

Now we are pretty meaningless. Not even part of the discussion to be honest

Saliba an up and coming young french player who has been scouted by the best disagrees.

"The history, the badge... since I was little, I've been watching Arsenal play in the Champions League and so on, and there are a lot of French players who have come through here. So that really helped me to make my mind up,"

Those statements are written by the clubs PR department and agreed by the player and his representitives. The players can add bits here and there aslong as it's agreed beforehand, but that's essentially just a club statement read by the player.

You see the difference in level of player Pool can attact when theyre in the CL and not in the CL. We're no different in that when were out of it theirs far more players out of reach. But we do ahve the opertunity to play younger guys who what to comit to their development and arent ready for Pool.

Good point, still remember a few new signings talking about how Arsenal play the best football in the league. Still they don't have to say it.

Could mean Saka moves up to Left wing , and Kurzawa and Tierney rotate the LB spot. Kolasinac would be the one to be let go.

I’d expect the same. Would be good asset management if we get a fistful of dollars for Kola.

Don't see why Tierney would rotate unless you mean when he's injured.

Genuinely looks like the strongest centreback I’ve seen in years.

Animal.

So raw though, and this is only his first season after breaking through, not sure if he's worth 15m.

But looks like the links are legit.

Still don't understand Kurzawa.

He’s green but him and Saliba playing alongside Luiz will be just the ticket for a season or two

I dunno, I'm afraid of these extreme youth signings all over the pitch. Not only are they so unproven, but they haven't established they can stay fit. We're just asking for more injury-blighted careers we are financially over committed to. There's needs to be an anchor in defense, we still don't have that (Luiz ain't it). Just one mid-career CB we can actually trust and get behind, who has proven themselves at the top level, like one of the Atletico or PSG boys, Milan Skriniar, or someone in that vein.

Definitely need an experienced head beside Saliba but I wouldn't want it to be Mustafi, Luiz, etc Those guys are not mentors for a young player like him. Totally agree with Coombs that we need a solid mid career proven player. Ideally someone solid from the PL for me although that usually comes at a premium. One player like at is needed in midfield too, an Arteta type.

Saka should be our starting left back

Hate to put it out there , but Saka hasn't signed a new deal and plenty of clubs after him. I hope we haven't decided to cash in.
