Partey and Grealish. Perfect

If Auba stays -- Partey (4), Grealish (5)
If Auba leaves -- Partey (4), David (2), Jovic (3)

Do we not get any points from selling Auba? That sucks.

Plays a lot like Mustafi, getting tight/going to ground Kos was similar but had the pace and agility to get compensate for it.

Kos read the game incredibly well. He was the best defender for facing messi he was very hard to beat with skill. His issue was being overpowered at times.

Mustafi is pretty average all round his most infuriating feature is how clumsy he is. He falls over a remarkable amount. I'm sure his parents though t he'd grow out of it when he was a toddler. His body awareness is just a bit lacking.

I like the look of Luiz Felipe from Lazio, good at getting in between the player and the ball.

Talk that Milan want Torreira and are prepared to pay 40m Euros, and Inter are keen on Bellerin.

Yes please to both. Manage to sell them and shift Lacazette or Ozil and we’ll have to the readies to oversee a decent overhaul

€40m for Torreira would be hard to pass up. Hopefully, it wouldn’t mean that we would lean into Xhaka. Would need both to go if that were the case.

apparently rumoured to be looking at Marc Roca?

Straight up Xhaka replacement?

I don't believe any club is making serious transfer plans at the moment, least of all us. If our funds were going to be limited by missing out on the CL then we're going to be crippled now.

Its a kick in nuts both ways surley? I assume we'll run a loss this year. But the oppertunity to scalp weaker clubs who cant afford the debt wont be missed by other big clubs.

That's a good point. I'm not one that generally calls out for or wants investment from the owner, but if there was ever a circumstance to put up some money, it's now.

Arteta said we have 3 transfer scenarios. That’s exactly how we should be approaching this window. We should have drawn out what the different outcomes might be in terms of how the season ends and what the impact is on us and the financials of other teams.

And Speedy is absolutely right, we should look to scalp other clubs. I expect Spanish and Italian clubs will be reeling. Let’s take their best prospects. On the other hand, we can also use this as an opportunity. If transfer values are largely down across the board for this summer, then this will be the time to give people a bargain in Xhaka, Ozil et al. Moving them out and replacing with good youth would be a strong move for improving income statement and balance sheet.

We should give Cagigao free range to find the best young talent.

Were stuck with ozil more than ever unfortunately. Nobody was willing to pay those wages before now hes been average for another year and hes older his an even more unattractive prospect.

You can give him up for free and pay some of his wage this season. If someone is willing to give him a 3 year deal at £200k on a free, we might as well pay £150k a week in his last year for him to fuck off. We’d save £10m pounds before tax on an ineffective player.

You are so kind to him to call him average.

He has never had any suitors outside of China and USA since he joined us unfortunately.

If Pogba was available would you take him, all things (i.e. including the asshole agent) considered?

If he’s healthy, I take him. His main problem is he seems to have the Ramsey health limitation: star quality is useless if the guy doesn’t play. That said, he’d be one our 2 best players and take midfield to another dimension

Would rather invest in someone like Camavinga then Pogba.

Wouldn’t take Pogba for the likely cost it would involve.

If we’re going to splash then splash on a left sided forward

Pogba would probably another Ozil here.

Time to focus and build a team for the future. When they all mature it will be glorious.

You’re absolutely right that this is the time for StatDNA to work with Edu to find the young players who would most perfectly fit into Arteta’s vision of football. Put together a team that will gel and win together

Nah. I think theres still something there and the right manager can get him motivated but I wouldn't lumber than on an Arsenal manager right now, theres too much else to do and it'd be too big a risk with our resources.

Partey, Umtiti on the cheap and Coutinho on loan would make this a great window.

---------------Leno
Cedric--Saliba--Umtiti--Saka
--Partey-Torreira-Coutinho
Pepe-----------------Martinelli
---------------Auba

Are we really to believe that we are simultaneously at war with our own players over pay cuts and also trying to spend €50m on Partey?

Yerrr!

“Hi Skhodran. Thanks for doing your bit and agreeing to the wage cut. You’re helping to protect the club financially.”

Next day. Baaaaam 1 x Thomas Partey up in herre!

It seems the wage issue, is the club using the current crisis to bring down the players wages in line with a club who hasn't been in the CL for a while but is paying CL wages.

Rumours doing the rounds about Partey and Jovic today. Jovic being the prime target to replace Auba.

I could live with this next season

—————-Leno
Bellerin—Saliba—Luiz—Saka
————Partey
———Ozil ——Willock
Pepe——-Jovic—-Martinelli

The Partey rumours are growing legs by the minute.
