Defensively against Chelsea, Bournemouth and Palace we've still shown the weaknesses we've had though. No doubt the team go into games with a more positive attitude which does make a difference but what we are doing is not that dissimilar from Emery's early period to me.
As for Pepe, my point is more that he isn't contributing enough right now to say he has to start certainly at least for me.
He has an unpredictably that counts for him but he's not that effective right now and given the investment he isn't making the contribution I was thinking he would be for that money.
Agree he probably looks more effective then many of the rest of the squad but that's just because we are really poor offensively across the team.
