He is obviously a high quality player. But he cannot play in an Aubameyang, Lacazette offense. We should have another winger who gives us running and trickery on the opposite flank (Pepe or Martinelli) and Bama down the centre. Then we can have that balance you mention. I like that he is fundamentally such a good player, a bit like Martinelli.
Yeah. I'm just saying that our left wing options are turn over machines and as it stands we can't have that both sides, so Nelson appears to be the best option we have.
You could probably play Nelson left and pepe right, if that is your wont, with much the same outcome. Saying that, looking at the way we used Maitland today, I can see exactly why pepe didn't start on the right.
