I think we need to buy some players. Our midfield and attack aren't working for me. The defense had a lapse and conceded a goal but they've worked so much harder in the last two games. They'll improve just through coaching although a top class centre back won't hurt.

Lacazette is as shit as Giroud but without any somewhat redeeming physical qualities.

Thank goodness we didn't lose at least. Better second half from Nelson.

We were so wasteful today, its almost funny. Laca and Saka the two biggest causes. Auba messed up a fair few promising positions as well, but at least he got a goal.

I think Lacazette had one of the worst performances I've ever seen him put in, and that's saying something. Was central to virtually everything we created, and without missing a beat he messed up every single chance. We really don't move badly across the field though. We're outnumbered less, get countered less, turn and pass quicker and we attack with more players facing the right way. We just lack belief. It's going to take time but at least we're on our way. I think it's comforting to see that both Freddie and Arteta have an aligned vision about how we should play too.

First half was the best we’ve played all season.

I presume the reason why Nelson got the nod ahead of Pepe was because he works harder than the Ivorian. Pepe did look good when he came on though but he is very inconsistent.

Laca’s obviously rusty, put in a lot of effort but lacked the quality expected of him. Overall really impressed with Arteta’s start here. Ozil and Torreira the stand out players.

Nelson is such a weird character. He is so technically sound. Watch him trapping the ball. It doesn't matter where it is coming from, he will kill it dead or it take it in stride. He works so hard as well on defense. So all of this is really good. But I also just feel like he doesn't possess enough of a wow factor on offense to warrant playing 160 minutes in our last two league games.

It will come as he build confidence. He’s an immense talent.

I think Chambers being suspended had an impact too. We've been supporting the centrebacks much better in the last few games but Sokratis and Luiz seemed like they were up to their usual stuff today.

We barely let Bournemouth have a shot all game when everything was said and done though.

Thought we were mostly fine in defense, honestly. We gave the ball away in a bad area once and got punished for it, but Bournemouth mostly did fuck-all.
