Personally I think we've seen three different stages and i think the stats confirm my overall impression.
Arteta's first few performances we're dire on the eye, hardly a chance created but a clear uptick in work rate, organisation and chances conceded.
Then, just before and after the enforced break, we started to look sloppy and chaotic, lots of chances conceded etc.
I think since the change to 3-4-3 though, we've played much higher up the pitch and pressed much higher up the pitch and it's got us playing better with a few more shorts on goal, Liverpool game aside.
I think the next step is to switch back to a back 4 and be able to maintain and improve the press and create more chances.
The one area where I think we've fallen apart under Arteta is set pieces. We look unable to defend them and totally blunt on attacking set pieces too vs it being a relative strong point under Emery. I think he needs to bring someone in for this.
