This got me thinking about the recent stat about us dropping 21 points from winning positions this season.

Nothing new or ground breaking, but the potential solution is almost as obvious as the issues it raises = sub Xhaka off for someone better able to shut the game down and protect the Defence.
Xhaka is consistently playing the full 90 - if he is tiring or simply unable to effectively provide cover when the opposition raise their game then take him off. As an example IIRC it was Xhaka that was slow to close down the player on the ball for the pass for Vardy's late goal.
Same applies re Ceballos for that matter as he usually plays 80 mins when he starts the game.
Neither of them are quick or physical let alone naturally defensive players and in a 2 man midfield on the back foot can lead to trouble.
This is where Arteta needs to step up in terms of his game management. I suspect Arteta's 'issue' is he wants to keep able to play on the front foot so as to score, whereas sometimes by strengthening an area to nullify a weakness can have the same outcome on the break.
For example bring on Torreira and AMN/Willock if needs be, and do so whilst they still have enough time to get into the game (unlike Nketiah when he got his red). As such you need to do so once you realise the opposition is being able to take the game to you, and not after they have gotten their confidence up and are camped in your half. IMO his game management is very much based upon the examples seen from both AW & Pep but he needs to recognise the different circumstances with each.
IMO this is his biggest 'flaw' as such.
