Looked like more of the same to me. Team looked excited for the first 20 minutes then reverted back to the same shite we've seen all season.
I can't ignore how utterly diabolical we have been. Before Emery went we couldn't tackle, couldn't press, couldn't string together passes, never controlled matches and barely made any chances.
Diabolical yes, because bad wouldn't even begin to describe it. Those showings from Emery were evil - an abomination in the Lovecraftian sense. Last season it culminated in us pissing away a CL spot, featuring a rancid display where we had to hang on for our lives against a 10-man Watford. This season, we barely looked superior to relegation fodder.
There's been so much commotion in various Arsenal channels about playing out from the back; discussions and clip after clip of some lower league side doing it successfully. Before Emery, playing out from the back was just something we did, not a point of endless debate. There was nothing right about our play, everything felt uncanny.
Our performance yesterday was substantially improved from my perspective. I wouldn't dare say that we're good now, but I was finally able to enjoy watching us again, instead of wincing every 30 seconds.

The issue yesterday was end product, I can’t remember the last time that was the case, because we’ve not been creating anything opportunities to waste.
I know it's because the bar has been set so low, but this really was a breath of fresh air. Our wastefulness is highly problematic, but I'll take it for now.
