Constantly going down the wings is the daftest thing we could do. Of course it isn't going to be effective.
To be effective, you need to do what Pool do. They go down different wings. They also have different variations. Sometimes they start their attacks high by using the press. Or other times, they start their attack on one wing and then do a long switch to the other flank.
Constantly taking the ball down one flank is an opposing coach's wt dream. You're boxing yourself in because you create a zone that you can't pass or move into on the touchline. That's why we spend so much time in the backline.
