Where'd you play him though? We're already trying to integrate one sort-of failure in Pepé, and even though he's starting to come along there's a lot of work to be done until he's anywhere near the standard we want. We have our own talents that need the minutes for their own development. Who has time for a flopping Lemar just to see if we can get something out of him eventually? If we bring someone in they need to be able to contribute immediately, otherwise what's the point. This bloke had his last good game back in 2017.
He will get games younger players could get. That's the draw back but in a way he'd also link the midfield and attack better than what's happening now. Which Is a huge problem.
Theirs a lot of uncertainty around Laca, Auba, ozil, xhaka, dani, torreira. So bringing in an experienced player probably wont block youngsters as much as we imagine it might.
